What causes more lighting problems: brightness, layout, or color temperature?

From my experience, most lighting issues usually come down to one of these:

• Brightness – either too dim or uncomfortably harsh
• Layout & spacing – dark spots or uneven lighting
• Color temperature / CRI – the room just feels “off”

All of them affect comfort and visual quality, but I’m curious:

Which one do you think is the most critical in real projects—and why?

This is a great question, and in practice, all three factors are closely connected.

From our project experience, layout & spacing is usually the foundation. If the layout is wrong, even the best LEDs won’t perform well. Uneven spacing often leads to glare, shadows, or wasted brightness.

That said, brightness and color temperature define comfort. Overpowered lighting causes eye fatigue, while incorrect CCT or low CRI can make a space feel cold or unnatural.

Our general recommendation is:
• Start with proper layout and spacing
• Then choose suitable brightness for the application
• Finally fine-tune color temperature and CRI based on the space

A balanced approach almost always delivers the best long-term results.
