Infrared light sits beyond human vision, but it plays a critical role in many real-world systems.
From practical use, IR LED strip applications usually fall into four areas:
1. Research & labs
Near-infrared wavelengths like 810 nm are widely used for sensing, analysis, and controlled experiments due to stable output and clean spectrum.
2. Security & night vision
-
850 nm: invisible to the eye, clearly visible to IR cameras
-
940 nm: fully invisible, ideal for covert or sensitive environments
3. Health & rehabilitation
Red (660–670 nm) and near-IR (810 nm) are commonly used in light therapy, circulation support, and muscle recovery.
4. Plants & agriculture
Far-red 730–735 nm helps regulate flowering and photoperiod response, especially when combined with red light.
Different wavelengths behave very differently, so choosing the right one matters more than brightness alone.
