NovaStar partial black screen and misalignment – configuration or cabling first?

Indoor LED screen using NovaStar:

Cards detected in software
Left side works
Right ~1/3 black
Some horizontal misalignment

Re-sent config, re-mapped modules, replaced cable, no change.

Questions:

  1. Is this more likely configuration or wiring order?
  2. Should port mapping and receiving card load be checked first?
  3. What’s the fastest way to locate the issue?

This is usually a configuration issue, not hardware failure.

Check in this order:

  1. Port mapping
Make sure each sending card port matches the real screen position.
Power only one receiving card to identify its area.

  2. Receiving card load
Black areas usually mean pixels are not assigned.

  3. Module parameters
Misalignment often comes from wrong scan mode or data direction.

Port order first, load second, module settings last.
