That’s a good point. For LED installations, many customers prefer leaving some extra capacity for future expansion and long-term reliability. However, if the total load is around 30W or below, this 12V 2.5A model is an appropriate match.
I’ve used similar 12V 30W IP67 drivers for outdoor LED strips and landscape lighting. The waterproof housing is nice to have even when the installation is partially sheltered.
