I’m troubleshooting an LED display system using Colorlight hardware, but LEDSet cannot detect the sender card.
Current situation:
Colorlight control system
LEDSet software
PC connected directly to the sender card via Ethernet
Software opens normally, but device list is empty
Changing Ethernet cables does not help
Environment details:
Sender card is powered on
Status LEDs appear normal
PC network set to obtain IP automatically
No network switch involved
Questions for those with hands-on experience:
1.What are the most common reasons LEDSet fails to detect a sender card?
2.Could this be related to PC network or IP configuration?
3.Is there a recommended troubleshooting sequence to quickly isolate the issue?
Looking for practical configuration and debugging experience, not general advice.
In Colorlight systems, LEDSet failing to detect a sender card is usually related to network communication, not hardware failure.
Common causes:
Incorrect network adapter selection, IP range mismatch, or multiple active network interfaces on the PC can prevent LEDSet from discovering the device.
Practical experience:
Disabling unnecessary network interfaces (Wi-Fi, virtual adapters) and keeping only the wired connection helps a lot. Manually assigning an IP address in the same subnet as the sender card, then restarting LEDSet, often resolves the issue.
Recommended troubleshooting order:
1.Disable unused network adapters
2.Manually set the wired network IP
3.Power-cycle the sender card
4.Relaunch LEDSet and scan again
In real projects, this sequence resolves most detection issues.
