I’m replacing some old 12V puck lights in my cabinets and found these LED downlights that I really like.
Can I use them with my existing 12V wiring, or would I need to change the power supply as well?
Has anyone done a similar upgrade?
Thanks for your question.
If your existing lighting system operates on 12V, these LED downlights cannot be connected directly to the same circuit, as they are designed for standard AC mains voltage (100–130V or 200–240V, depending on the model).
To ensure safe and proper operation, please use the correct input voltage specified for the product. If you’re replacing an existing 12V lighting system, the power supply and wiring may also need to be updated.
If you’re unsure about your current setup, feel free to share a few details and we’ll be happy to help.
