I’m installing a new toe-kick lighting system with a 24V RGBW LED strip.
I already have a Leviton ODD10-IDW 0–10V wall dimmer and I’m trying to figure out what else I need. Will this dimmer work with an RGBW controller, or do I need a different driver or controller for the installation?
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thank you for your question.
For a new RGBW LED strip installation, you’ll typically need a 24V LED power supply (driver) and an RGBW controller in addition to the LED strip itself.
The Leviton ODD10-IDW is a 0–10V wall dimmer. While it is designed for 0–10V dimming systems, standard RGBW controllers do not typically accept a direct 0–10V input signal. As a result, they cannot be connected directly to this dimmer.
If you would like to keep the Leviton wall dimmer as your primary control device, a compatible 0–10V to RGBW control interface would be required. Alternatively, you can use a dedicated RGBW controller that provides independent control of brightness, white light, and RGB color functions.
