Has anyone tried installing the 16 Inch Under Cabinet Light with just the 3M adhesive on slightly textured cabinets—does it stay put, or are screws really necessary?

Thank you for your inquiry. For best results, clean and dry the mounting surface, then choose 3M adhesive for temporary or rental use, or screw mounting for maximum stability in high-use areas; if using adhesive, press firmly for 30 seconds and allow 24 hours to cure. Install the ultra-thin light close to the cabinet edge, keep the motion sensor (within 10cm) unobstructed, and secure the power cable using the included accessories.
I needed a temporary setup in my rental, and the 3M adhesive worked fine—even on a slightly textured cabinet after curing 24 hours. Anyone else tried this?
The 3M adhesive works on slightly textured surfaces for temporary setups—press for 30 seconds and let it cure 24 hours. For high-use areas, screws are more secure.
If you’re installing it with screws, it really helps to level the position first so the light doesn’t end up crooked. Everything you need is included, and following the instructions makes the whole process much easier.
